He would call her all the time
Just to know how she did
Would remain around and assure
Nothing bothered his beloved
He would get annoyed
If she wasn’t his day’s alarm
Would feel elated by her smile
Would caress her in his arms
All this slowly bothered her
His love reduced to insecurities
His wake up calls appeared juvenile
His care swapped by queries
Withdrawal knocked their doors
She went ahead leaving him behind
He begged, he cried, he said he would die
But she wasn’t any kind
She had sought this love someplace else
Tried to seek what she didn’t get in him
But this is not what she wanted perhaps
For all the care that he beheld, went missing
She still tried
Thought this new to be love
Gave it all she had
Only to find this would never work
And now when she cries
All she is reminded of are his tears
When she would close her eyes
All she would hear are his words
“I have loved you like no one else ever will
You will seek the very love that you killed
But only to find me having moved on
For what goes around, comes back around”
pretty damn awesome.
